My name is Mike Montgomery and I am officially announcing my candidacy for the position of Parker County Constable of Precinct 4 in the 2012 Republican Primary.

Having been a resident of Parker County for the past 10 years, I recognize a need to bring fresh ideas and focused enforcement to the position of Constable.  I am a decorated police officer with over 20 years of service.  My law enforcement career began as the elected Constable, Precinct 4 for Cooke County in the late 80’s.  Discovering my passion for law enforcement, I then moved to Fort Worth with the Fort Worth Police Department’s Special Investigations Division Police Liaison Unit, and then Union Pacific Railroad, where I was a Senior Special Agent, K-9.

I have served the public for over 20 years, with experience as a police officer, beginning in Gainesville, Texas, where I served as a Constable in 1989.  Additionally, I bring my experience in insurance claims/investigations, Texas School safety and security audits, FEMA and the Texas Division of Emergency Management to serve the Citizens of Parker County.  Since 2008, I have been Texas Civil Process Service certified by the Texas Supreme Court Process Server Review Board.

In 2005, I started a successful investigative firm, Lonestar Claims Group, in Aledo, where I had moved in 2001 with my wife and three children, who attend Aledo ISD schools.  My passion was still law enforcement, so I also took a reserve position with the Aledo ISD Police Department as a Corporal, maintaining my police commission.  In 2008, I received recognition as Reserve Officer of the Year.

My investigative firm conducts legal investigations and I serve as a technical assistance contractor for FEMA as well as the Texas Division of Emergency Management.  I am the member of several organizations including Board Member of the HANK Foundation, Deacon at the Western Hills Baptist Church and a member of the Tarrant Baptist Men, Disaster Response Team.  I graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 1998 with a bachelor degree in criminal justice.

If elected, my mission will be to not only uphold the office of Precinct Four Constable’s Office, but to improve the level of service which the citizens of Precinct 4 deserve from an officer of the court.  I pledge to serve all persons with professionalism, respect and integrity, dedicating myself to the citizens of Parker County while upholding the laws of the State of Texas.  I promise to bring fresh ideas and leadership to the Constable’s office, serving with the same passion and integrity which has been a hallmark of my career in law enforcement, and the very core of my personal beliefs.
